Brilliant New Technique For Making Photos More Surprising And Fun (Video )

Daniel Barak, a digital creative director in New York, has created a new technique for images that makes them move when you touch them.

The special image looks like a regular static photo when people view it on their iPhone. However, when the user pinches the image to zoom out the picture animates.

Here’s a short demo video:

As you can see, the images are little different than GIFs (although they could be exchanged in the same way) because they are interactive and there’s an element of surprise when you touch the photo to make it move.

We could see this technique working with Snapchat or any other app that allows you send pictures.

I’m imaging a Web store where users can send these images to people for all types of occasions. For example, you could send a friend a birthday cake image on his or her birthday, and the candles on the cake would light up or flicker when the friend touched the cake.

Barack thinks that advertisers could also use it as a cool gimmick.

Happy Republic Day

  1. Republic Day celebration actually lasts for three days! The Beating Retreat is held at the end of the third day marking the end of Republic Day.
  2. There are just two original copies of the Constitution in the country written in Hindi and English. They have been preserved in helium-filled cases in the Parliament of India. This constitution has been calligraphed and not printed. Such photo lithographic copies are in circulation and only 1000 copies have been written till date.
  3. The President addresses the Republic Day whereas; the Prime Minister addresses the Independence Day.
  4. Our Constitution is the longest in the world. You definitely cannot read it in a single day.
  5. Now, writing the constitution was not simple. The Assembly gathered for 166 days that was spread over two years, 11 months and 18 days before the final version was formed. Yes, it was all hand-written and it was on the 26th of January that marked the celebration of Independence in its true sense.
  6. The Constitution came into a legal circulation at 10:18 AM on the 26th of January, 1950.
  7. During The Beating Retreat, ‘Abide by Me’ is the song that is played to mark the end of the ceremony.

For most of us it makes a perfect holiday and not many of us contribute to the national cause on this particular day. You might also find some diligent workers working from home to meet their last minute targets! The Constitution of India states the use of personal rights. Where is yours?

Domino’s is hiring, offering $31,000 an hour

Its pizza might or might not suck, but at least Domino’s pays its employees well. Make that, one employee. In Japan. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the chain’s arrival in the country, Domino’s Japan has announced it will hire one lucky person at the rate of 2,500,000 yen, or about $31,000, for one hour’s worth of work in December. “Basically it’s anybody over 18, no questions about education or experience,” a spokesman tells Reuters. “We’re actually a little surprised by how much of a response it’s getting.” Compare this to Tourism Queensland’s famous “Best Job in the World,” which paid a guy $110,000 to take care of an island on the Great Barrier Reef for six months. Assuming a 40-hour week, that worked out to about $100 an hour, plus you had to put up with being stung by lethal jellyfish and whatnot. The Domino’s stunt is getting lots of play in the media, but of course it might rub current employees the wrong way. And we all know what horrible things occur when a Domino’s employee goes rogue. What is 710….?

This doesn’t mean all women are stupid when it comes to cars….But there always are (a lot of) exceptions!!Yesterday I was having some work done at the Ford dealer. A woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred- ten. We all looked at each other, and the mechanic asked,”What is a seven-hundred- ten?”She replied, “You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine.I lost it and need a new one. It had always been there.”

The mechanic gave the woman a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710 !!He then took her over to another car which had the hood up and asked, “Is there a 710 on this car?”She pointed and said, “Of course, it’s right there.”Now go to the photo below to learn what a 710 is…….
